After shooting for the nerve chilling Roast session for Comedy Central, Justin Bieber had a comparatively relaxed and much comfortable time on "Ellen DeGeneres Show."  The "Baby" hit maker stopped by the show on March 18 to talk about the roast session conducted past weekend.

"What a birthday present, right?" quipped Bieber, giving a sigh of relief. The roast, which was taped on March 14 and will be aired on March 30, was reported to be too harsh on the singer.

Several reports stated that the star, who has just turned 21 on March 1, was not spared and was attacked with verbal abuses throughout the show. Roasters Kevin Hart, Hannibal Buress, Will Ferrell and Jeffrey Ross showered back to back cruel jokes about the singer's music and his personal life.

Bieber's endless list of antics and his past relationship with the former Disney star Selena Gomez gave away enough matter to be joked upon by the Roasters. The singer reportedly had a grim expression throughout the show except for a few moments when he was reported to be laughing hysterically, while slapping his knees when the jokes was on his former love, MTV reported.

The recent Roat session apparently has given Beiber a retrospective view of his life to date. The star, who shot to fame as a YouTube sensation while still in his teens, admitted in the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" that he was never prepared for so much attention and power at such a young age.

"I really just didn't... I didn't know how to handle it," Bieber told DeGeneres on the show. "It went to my head and I had to let people pull me down for me to see the truth and to see how much of a jerk I was being."

Actual video of the roast is still not out yet, but live Twitter feeds from the audience members present on the Bieber's roast session tell that after taking in all the punches, Bieber cracked a few jokes himself before apologizing for his several infamous stunts and behaviour to date.
