Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper might have an on-screen chemistry, but “The Hunger Games” actress has confirmed that their relationship is purely platonic. They co-star in “Serena,” which is the third film that they have been paired together, following 2012’s “Silver Linings Playbook” and 2013’s “American Hustle.”
“Honestly, it is just happenstance,” Cooper said, referring to how he and JLaw were oftentimes cast in the same movies. “We both got cast in ‘Silver Linings Playbook,’ and she was going to this other movie. The role was open. So, that worked out.”
Cooper was nominated was nominated for Best Actor for his participation in “Silver Linings Playbook,” while Lawrence won Best Actress.
Cooper has admitted that he has learned a lot from his co-star and that he respects “her so much as a professional and as an actor.”
“I think she is the best there is,” he said, according to Us Weekly. “You always want to work with people who are better than you.”
“I feel the same way about him!” Lawrence chimed in.
They might work and look so good in their movies together, but Lawrence had insisted that there is absolutely “no sex” in their relationship. She is currently dating Coldplay front man Chris Martin in an on-and-off relationship, while Cooper has just recently split from Suki Waterhouse after dating her for a couple of years.
Her present relationship with Martin has been tumultuous, to say the least, as reported by Celebrity Dirty Laundry. She was reportedly furious when photos of Martin hanging out with Kate Hudson on the beach surfaced on the Internet.
