Vin Diesel still evidently misses his long-time friend Paul Walker. Nearly 16 months have gone by and the star is still apparently mourning over his friend's tragic death.

In a latest screening of the movie "Furious 7," Diesel was asked to say something about Walker. According to TMZ, Diesel got so emotional while speaking that he almost choked with tears.

"It was in some ways the hardest movie I ever had to do because the relationships that you see on film are so real," said the 47-year-old actor. "When the tragedy happened, I lost my best friend. I lost my brother."

Diesel also told the crowd that the movie is an homage to Walker, who died in a car crash in November, 2013. Walker was an integral part of the "Fast and Furious" franchise and was associated in every sequel the movie to date.

When Walker died tragically in a car crash, the movie "Furious 7" was still in production. The movie's progress was halted temporarily so as to work out how the rest of the movie can be completed as Walker had an important role throughout the movie. The movie's filming picked up again and only with the help of Walker's brothers and special shadow technology, somehow it got completed.

The movie was premiered at a surprise last minute midnight screening at the SXSW film festival in Austin. The premiere could not be attended by Diesel, who later made his first public appearance at the screening of the film in California. Diesel came to the venue directly from the hospital after the birth of his third child, Vanity Fair reported.

Coincidentally, Diesel has a twin brother named Paul, who is also a blond with blue eyes. Diesel also told the audience that he will always make sure to keep alive the fond memories of late Walker for his son Vincent.
