"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will introduce DC Comics superhero Wonder Woman as portrayed by the 29-year-old Israeli actress Gal Gadot. Since the time of her casting, the actress has been slammed with criticism about her body and breasts not matching the appearance of the DC Comics character.
In a recent interview with Robot Underdog, Gal Gadot talked about her upcoming role, casting in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and Wonder Woman superpowers. "The Fast and the Furious" actress revealed that critics said that she was "too skinny" for the role of Wonder Woman and her "boobs were too small." When asked if she was offended by the harsh statements, the actress revealed that it only "amuses" her now.
"The true Amazons had one boob so it won't bother them in their archery. So it's not going to be like real Amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we can't," Gadot added.
After addressing the negative remarks about her during the casting, Gadot revealed that she waited for more than a month to find out whether she was playing the part or not. She even expressed her excitement of introducing the legendary comic book character on the silver screen. Portraying Wonder Woman on big screen is "once in a lifetime opportunity" for Gadot. Playing Wonder Woman is like dream come true for Gadot, who always wanted to portray a woman that is "strong" and "source for empowerment."
In the rest of the interview, the actress expressed gratitude for getting to do the role Wonder Woman, who she describes as "strongest most empowering woman." Gadot also talked about Wonder Woman's superpowers and superhuman abilities. As revealed by the actress, her character is not only bestowed with exceptional endurance and strength, but also she can fly. She even has great knowledge of martial art styles and possesses serious demeanour.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" hit the cinemas on Mach 25, 2016.
