Zayn Malik recently announced that he is taking a hiatus from the world tour of the band One Direction. Directioners might be disappointed to learn that he is reportedly seriously contemplating on leaving the band for good as he is already consulting his legal team so he could get out of his contract.
According to Hollywood Life, the 22-year-old is really stressed of the tour with his band mates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan. He did announced before that he will be back with the band on March 28 but it seems that it will no longer happen.
A source close to Malik shares that the singer is very convinced to be out of the group and he is finding everything as too much. He is already talking to his legal consultants so he can get out of his contract with no hassle since he really wants to get out of the band and cut all his commitments with it.
However, there might be a slight chance for Malik to change his mind as his legal consultants are saying that he might be asked to fulfill some of his commitments first before quitting and maybe if given the break he is asking for and being away from the spotlight, he will be able to decide better although as of the moment he really wants to quit the band.
According to RTE, Malik has been under fire by his fans as he allegedly cheated on his fiancée Perrie Edwards and it is possibly affecting his recent statements.
Simon Cowell, the mentor of the band, shared that he is confident that Malik is okay and will be okay after he is given some time off. The source added that the bandmates are all brothers and they will not let anything break them up as they are always there for each other.
