While in Beijing to promote his latest spy movie “Kingsman: The Secret Service” on Monday, Academy Award-winning actor Colin Firth said that he would love to do a film with Jackie Chan in the future.

"Of course I would love to cooperate with Jackie Chan," Firth said, adding that he is a big fan of the Hong Kong martial arts superstar and that Chan once sent an autographed photo to his son.

Firth's remarks came during a Beijing press conference, where the 54-year-old English actor revealed that he performed 90 percent of his own action scenes in the film and that he worked with the same choreographers used by Jackie Chan.

Firth's is best known for his highly acclaimed performance as King George VI in the 2010 historical drama "The King's Speech," which earned him an Oscar for Best Actor as well as a number of other awards. In "Kingsman," he stars as Harry Hart aka Galahad, a veteran secret agent.

Based on the comic book "The Secret Service" by Dave Gibbons and Mark Millar and directed by "Kick Ass" filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, "Kingsman" follows the story of the recruitment and training of a potential secret agent, Gary "Eggsy" Unwin, into a secret and elegant spy organization named "Kingsman."

Along with Firth, the film stars Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton and Michael Caine.

Firth was the only major star from the movie to appear at the Beijing promotional event on Tuesday, as the China premiere comes after the film's debut in the U.K. in January and in the U.S. in February.

"Kingsman: The Secret Service" will screen on cinemas across China on March 27, with several minutes of the film censored due to too extreme violence. The film garnered positive reviews and has already grossed over $295 million in the worldwide box office.
