Sony Computer Entertainment, Japan has officially announced that they will be rolling out the system update 2.50, codenamed "Yukimura", to Playstation 4 consoles on Mar. 26.

The announcement is a long awaited break that players have been expecting because the update brings a number of interesting changes to the console, which makes gaming more fun than it already is. Players will now be able to pause and resume a game from any point by using the PS button on their dualshock controller. It makes it easier and saves them from having to put up with long loading times when the entire system is restarted.

The ability to backup save data, settings, downloaded files and videos from hard disk to a USB drive has also been added as part of the update. Players will be able to find their friends easier as there is a new Facebook friend finder.

Additionally, "Friends Who Play This" is an useful resource which makes it easy for them to find people who already own the same game, so that multiplayer matches could be hosted. Each trophy a player earns will automatically be captured so that they could share them at a later stage.

For easier readability, the text size and contrast has been increased in the user interface. The fonts have been made bigger for convenience, confirms the official Playstation blog.

An all-new zoom functionality along with inverted colors is being added to the UI. Players can also customize their buttons on their dualshock controllers as they need.

The remote and share play will now support full 60 FPS on all compatible devices. Players will be able to stream their PS4 games to PS Vita or other compatible devices with higher frame rates than before. The developers are rolling out an update for PS Vita as well as the Playstation App to make this possible, according to a report by Eurogamer.
