New rumors claimed that iPad Pro will no longer happen this year in contrast to earlier reports that the large tablet will be unveiled sometime this year.

According to Science Times, Apple surely has explored the idea of releasing a massive tablet, but it is not the company's focus right now. Apple recently announced two new products recently - Apple MacBook and Apple Watch.

However, the report added that there is a need in releasing the iPad Pro due to the success of Microsoft Surface Pro 3, which introduced the laptop-tablet hybrid. According to the Redmond-based tech giant, the sales of the tablet-laptop hybrid increased by three folds. Furthermore, the tablet received the best tablet award at the recent GSMA ceremony boosting its popularity.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg previously reported that the production of the tablet will begin in September as there is an undefined problem in the procurement of the 12.9 inch screen displays that will be included in the device. Another probable cause of the delay is the alleged internal conflict as some executives wants to incorporate USB 3.0 port in the device that will enable users to attach peripheral devices like mouse and keyboard. However, including such ports will make the device slightly thicker than the current iPads, which negates Apple's aim for slimmer devices. Due to the upgrade in the device, the tablet is rumored to be $150 more expensive than iPad Air.

If the iPad Pro will be released this year, it is predicted that it will be launched alongside the iPad Air 3 and iPad Mini 4. iPad Pro will target business professionals. There is a big chance that iPad Pro will be a success, but there is also a possibility that the larger tablet will cannibalize the sales of other Apple devices like the iPad Air and MacBook Air.
