Google Nexus 5 2015 release date will most likely to take place sometime this year, but some reports claimed that the tech giant will release two new smartphones this year.

According to Christian Today, two new phones are coming out this year taking Google's track record in to consideration. In the past, Google consistently launches a pair of devices, but it is usually a combination of a smartphone and a tablet.

One of the probable reasons that Google will skip releasing a tablet this year is due to the fact that the tablet industry is losing and non-profitable since most consumers now prefer hybrid devices like phablets and laptop-tablet device. However, it is still uncertain whether Google will release a hybrid device.

Meanwhile, Korean news website E Today cited by Android Origin sparked the rumors that LG will make the next Google Nexus smartphones. The report stated that engineers from Google went to LG headquarters last month for a tour. It is predicted that Google is in talks with LG in manufacturing a new device.

In addition, Ecumenical News reported that Google will probably use LG's technology in making its new smartphone. According to rumors, Google Nexus 5 2015 will sport a metal casing using LG's technology.

There are other publications referring to the smartphone as Nexus 7, which may be confused with the company's first tablet. Other reports claimed that the smartphone will be named Google Nexus 5 2015 since Nexus 5 has been overly popular when it was released. Whispers stated that the new smartphone will pack some of the beloved features of the Nexus 5.
