Although there is no official release date yet, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS updaterelease date is purported to come soon as the new version was spotted in the Android SDK Manager.

According to Christian Today, Google will roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update soon. The OS update was supposed to fix some of the stubborn bugs and issues left unfixed by Android 5.1.

Android SDK Manager is an important platform for the OS and it hints the imminent arrival of the new version of the operating system. This is even intensified by the flash images and over the air updates for Nexus handsets.

The new update will reportedly fix the annoying memory loss as well as the bug that eats up the storage space. However, there is no official confirmation from Google yet as to when it will release the update as well as what updates it will bring.

According to GottaBeMobile, the following are the bug fixes that Android was delivered when Android 5.1 was rolled out to users.

  • Some sound problems experience by certain devices fixed
  • Other improvements and changes

There will be a slight improvement on the software features. The new OS version will improve the software's OK Google, RAM management, and welcome silent mode. Moreover, the operating system packs security updates that enable users to have PIN lock, pattern lock, or a general lock toggle. Lastly, Google's new Quick Settings enable users to access some features like WiFi and Bluetooth.
