Telenovela actor Rogelio de la Vega's (Jaime Camil) mother will arrive in the next episode of the CW comedy-drama series "Jane the Virgin." Actress Rita Moreno guest stars in "Jane The Virgin" Season 1, episode 18 titled "Chapter Eighteen" as Rogelio's mom, the woman that Rogelio wants Xiomara (Andrea Navedo) to meet.
A released promo video shared on YouTube teased that things will not go smoothly when Xiomara meets Rogelio's mom in the upcoming new episode. Xiomara declares Rogelio's mother is always going to hate her.
In the promo video, Rogelio's mother shows that she does not like Xiomara for her famous son. Rogelio's mom thinks Xiomara may be a little too old for Rogelio.
Xiomara tells her daughter Jane (Gina Rodriguez) that she does not like Rogelio's mother. Jane encourages her mother to try to get along with Rogelio's mom.
Xiomara affirms that she can handle the situation. However, the next scene shows Rogelio's mom telling Xiomara to get her son some water with two lemons because Rogelio looks thirsty.
Then, Rogelio's mom wants the couple to end their romantic relationship. Xiomara looks like she has given up and tells Jane that she can no longer handle it.
According to the episode synopsis in a Carter Matt report, Rogelio and Xiomara are not the only ones having relationship issues. Jane will accidentally ruin Rafael Solano's (Justin Baldoni) chances of getting back the liquor license of the Marbella hotel.
The fans can recall that Rafael and Petra (Yael Grobglas) were forced to shut down the party at the hotel in the previous episode because they could not present a permit to the cops that showed up. Aside from the permit, the cops informed Rafael that there were underaged drinkers at their beach during the Marbella hotel party.
The upcoming episode will also have Jane torn between fixing the mistake she made with Rafael and attending the Easter festivities of her family.
The episode synopsis further teased about Rafael obtaining information about his biological mother from the private detective he hired. However, Rafael will not like what he finds out about his mom.
Abuela Alba (Ivonne Coll) gives love another shot in the upcoming episode with a guy named Edward (Cheech Marin) but Alba will be shocked when she finds out what her new love interest does for a living. Lastly, the synopsis teased Petra will ask detective Michael Cordero Jr. (Brett Dier) to help her get confirmation on the shocking secret that she discovered in the previous episode involving the Zazo twins.
"Jane The Virgin" Season 1, episode 18 titled "Chapter Eighteen" will air on April 13, Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on the CW Network.
