Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of singer-guitarist Kurt Cobain, does not like Nirvana. The revelation came from the 22-year-old herself during an interview in which she recalled her painful childhood and life without her 'larger than life' father.
"I don't really like Nirvana that much," said Frances on being quizzed upon how she felt the first time when he heard a Nirvana record in a Rolling Stone interview. "Sorry, promotional people, Universal. I'm more into Mercury Rev, Oasis, Brian Jonestown Massacre."
Frances was barely 20-months-old when the cult singer and Nirvana's front man was found dead along with a suicide note in his Seattle home, after being reported missing for a few days from the Exodus Recovery Center in Los Angeles where he had gone for a drug detox program. Often hailed as "the spokesman of a generation," the singer had reportedly committed suicide at the age of 27 by shooting himself. However, mystery still looms over the exact cause and circumstances of the legendary's singer and Seattle Police Department reportedly still receives frequent requests from Kurt's followers to reopen the high profile mysterious case.
Speaking on the 21st anniversary of her father's untimely death, Frances, seen as a baby in the pic above, expressed her grief over Kurt's death, saying that he always wanted his band to be successful and he never wanted to be the "f**king voice of a generation."
Frances, who is now a visual artist and an executive producer of the upcoming HBO documentary "Kurt Cobain:Montage of Heck," also declared that the former band members, Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, find her an exact replica of her dead father.
Kurt's death was one of the most tragic moments in the history of music. Almost seven thousand mourners assembled in a public vigil held in his memory at the time of his death as he became one of the most popular member of the notorios Club 27.

Kurt had played a vital role in Nirvana's success with his energetic presence and a magnetic force which moved the audience , Time reported.
