There is a possibility that Fox's "Empire" season 2 will include rapper Eminem and media mogul Oprah Winfrey in its cast with Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson.
During his appearance on "Good Morning America" on April 7, Tuesday, "Empire" executive producer Brian Glazer said, "Eminem, I know, loves our show and I produced '8 Mile.' I'm going to beg him to get on our show, he and Oprah Winfrey."
"Somehow I'm going to get one or both of them on our show," Glazer added.
Glazer did not give details about the roles Eminem and Winfrey will play if they join the "Empire" season 2 cast.
Neither Eminem nor Winfrey has commented on Glazer's wish to include them in the top-rating Fox's hip-hop drama series.
In 2013, Winfrey starred in "The Butler," which was directed by Lee Daniels, the "Empire" co-creator of "The Hunger Gamer- Mockingjay" screenwriter Danny Strong.
On the other hand, Eminem's most recent acting stint was his cameo role in the controversial "The Interview" starring Seth Rogen and James Franco.
Among the musicians featured in "Empire" season 1were Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Estelle and Rita Ora. Courtney Love also played a recurring role as a drug-addicted rock star named Elle Dallas.
The story of "Empire" revolves around fictional hip-hop music and entertainment company, Empire Entertainment, with Howard's character Lucious Lyon, a rapper-turned-mogul, as the head. Henson plays Lucious Lyon's daunting former wife Cookie Lyon, who has recently completed a 17-year prison sentence for drug dealing.
The first season of Fox's "Empire" debuted in January and went on to become the highest-rated scripted program in the history of United States television. It was also announced on April 7, Tuesday, that the series will be aired in the United Kingdom through E4 this spring, according to NME.
Meanwhile, after debuting at number one on Billboard Hot 200, "Empire: Original Soundtrack From Season 1" is currently at number 15.
