An arrest warrant has been issued against the mega star Justin Bieber by an Argentinian judge as the singer allegedly failed to respond to the court' repeated summons in an assault case.

The judge has ordered the "immediate detention"  of  Bieber and his bodyguards Hugo Alcides Hesny and Terrence Reche Smalls for attacking a photographer, Diego Pesoa, outside a Buenos Aires nightclub in 2013. The case was filed earlier, but the singer never returned to the country to respond to any of the court proceedings.

The court has ordered arrest-on-sight of pop star if he sets foot in the country again. Bieber's representatives have yet to respond on the matter, Reuters reported.

In the past, the recently roasted star had been notified on multiple occasions to appear before the court but had always failed to do so. In November last year, it was reported that there are enough photos and footages to show that "Baby" hit maker ordered his bodyguards to chase down the photographer and take away his camera.

Earlier, another local judge had also ordered the 21-year-old star to appear before the court and asked the Interpol to help in locating the famous singer.

Photographer Pesoa alleges that he was beaten on Nov. 9, 2013, by Bieber's bodyguards outside a posh nightclub the country's capital, where the singer and his entourage partied. The singer never returned to Argentina to answer the repeated summons sent in his name.

Bieber, if gets convicted on the charges of assault, could be jailed for one month to six years for causing injuries and not answering to the court summons, Independent reported.
