Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, got married to her fiancée, Richard Lawson, this weekend in a grand ceremony. The whole wedding took place on a huge yacht, which cruised around the harbour in Newport Beach, California while the bride and groom took their oath.
The wedding was attended by Tina's famous 33-year-old singer daughter with her family and a few other close relatives. According to pictures obtained by TMZ, all the invitees of the wedding, including the "Baby Boy" hit maker, her husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy along with her newly married sister Solange Knowles, were clad in white ensemble to mark the event.
The lavish ceremony took place aboard a 140-foot yacht named "Eternity." The yacht is big enough to hold about 300 guests at a time and is fitted with all modern amenities. However, the actual number of the people present in the high profile wedding is still unknown.
The wedding date falls coincidentally just after Beyonce's sixth wedding anniversary. Tina's other daughter, Solange, also got married recently in November last year in an equally lavish ceremony. The star's singer tied the knot with Alan Ferguson in New Orleans and the entire family was similarly dressed in white attire.
This is the second time that the 61-year-old mother of the star is getting hitched. Earlier, she was married to Mathew Knowles, who is also the star's former manager. The successful business woman and fashion designer filed for divorce in 2009 and got separated in 2011, after almost 30 years of marriage.
Tina's new husband, Lawson, is an actor, who is known for his role in the 1980s prime-time soap opera "Dynasty," New York Daily News reported. This is the second marriage for both Tina and Lawson who began dating in 2013.
