Move over, "Ice Bucket Challenge." The "Pupi Challenge" or the "Hot Bucket Challenge" is here and it is currently taking Italy by storm.

According to Mirror, the new challenge includes red hot pepper instead of a bucket of ice. People are challenged to eat the red hot pepper then donate £1.50 to a charity called PUPI foundation in an attempt to slowly end world hunger.

The report added that the challenge was first started by an Argentinian star from the group Inter Milan of Italy named Javier Zanetti. The 41-year-old former captain of the said group uploaded a clip and it showed how the new craze works. The red pepper is really spicy and it made people who took on the challenge tear up and scream due to the burning sensation.

Zanetti then tagged his friends Gianluigi Buffon, the keeper of the group Juventus and the ace player of Barcelona identified as Carles Puyol. The challenge is called Pupi because it is the nickname of Zanetti.

The rules of the game are as follows: film yourself eating hot chilli peppers, tag four friends, and donate money to the said foundation.

According to Daily Record, the foundation already raised thousands of money for this craze but there is still no definite amount or information given regarding this. The craze is expected to expand to the United Kingdom in a few weeks or months.

The "Ice Bucket Challenge" started last year over the summer to help raise awareness for the degenerative disease known as ALS. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Aniston, Charlie Sheen, and many more took on the challenge and were able to raise more than US$100 million from the donations coming from all over the world.

The initial purpose of the "Ice Bucket Challenge" was to let people feel what ALS patients are going through.
