Lenovo A1900 is Lenovo's entry to the Android 4.4 KitKat-based smartphones market at the price of $42, NDTV revealed.

The A1900 model is yet to be launched by the Chinese company, but it has already been spotted in Alibaba, an online bulk supplier. The image has stirred the market's curiosity primarily because of its price that ranged from $42-$52 only.

While Lenovo has gained a neat profit by designing good and cheap smartphones through its acquired Motorola mobility, the company is now taking the price challenge to the next level with the soon to be launched model.

Lenovo A1900 has a quad-core central processing unit on board and is powered by a Spreadtrum chipset SC7730, Mali-400 GPU, and 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

The quad-core CPU works together with a 4 GB and 512 GB of RAM on board storage. This economical smartphone also sports a MicroSD slot so any owner can expand its built-in memory.

Other notable features include, IPS, 4-inch display that has 480x800 pixel resolution that can produce 233 ppi pixel density; dual-standby, dual-SIM attribute with one of the SIM slot supporting 3G connectivity that has more than 2, 100 MHz band, while the other accommodates triple band, 2G networks, the GSM Arena reviewed.

The A1900 weighs 117 grams, 121 x 62 x 9.55 millimeter big and has a 1, 500 mAh battery that is user removable. With its 4-inch display, 1, 500 mAh could support a 24-hour usage.

Recently, Lenovo also released A7000, a 4G budget smartphone that sports 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 5.5 inch HD display, Android 5.0 Lollipop and 8MP autofocus camera.
