The Colorado born satellite has turned 25, and the scientists are celebrating all over the world! It was the first telescope to help man discover the depths of Universe and open our eyes to a wider horizon than the one in which we live.

It was named after Edwin Hubble, a great scientist who was the first to put forward the theory that the Universe is not constant, and is always on a move.

The Hubble Telescope was a total game changer, not only for the scientists, but for the entire planet Earth, states Gazette. Launched in the year 1990, the scientists got to know about the birth of stars, how the Earth was formed from the big bang theory and how there are millions of galaxies out there which are still to be explored.

This telescope was responsible for the discovery of so many stars and planets, the number is non countable, states The American Register. Although the art of star gazing was already an established one long before Hubble was introduced, it changed the way people gazed at stars. Before this telescope, clarity was a big issue for astronomers as they could not get past clouds and haze to reach beyond the sky. Experts give a very high value to this piece of hardware and say that no piece of telescope has till date achieved so much as Hubble has.

The whole idea of inventing this telescope was to remove the issue of the view not having clarity by installing a very high resolution lens.

It was also sent to space with an idea that it would be kept floating at a place where night does not fall, and was launched four years later than when it was intended to be launched.
