Marvel's "Daredevil" is a vigilant superhero; however, he has showed no match against pirates who have robbed Netflix of more than two million times in just a week. The only TV series that was able to record a higher figure within the April 10 to April 16 frame is the "Game of Thrones" by HBO with more than six million illegal torrents in the same dates.
Since the first day that Netflix has released its 13-part "Daredevil" series in April 10, a number of countries have already contributed to the more than two million illicit downloads, the Variety reported. This has only implied that pirates are frightened of neither the accessibility that Netflix is offering to its audiences nor the threats that have been associated with the "Dallas Buyers Club" illegal downloaders which was previously reported by the Sydney Morning Herald.
The figure for the "Game of Thrones" includes its past seasons and not just its recent season's premiere episode which leaked to pirate websites a day before HBO officially aired the episode.
Brazil led the piracy record for "Daredevil" with 190, 274 illicit torrent downloaders from the previous week's Friday through the present week's Thursday. Other countries mentioned were Australia with more than 100, 000; the United Kingdom with more than 110, 000; France with more than 105, 000; the United States with more than 140, 000; and India with 149, 000.
Netflix currently has 62.3 million subscribers around the globe and excluding India, it is offering streaming services to the counties mentioned, above.
"Daredevil" is only one of the four series under the Marvel and Netflix contract.
