The upcoming Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update release will happen sooner than later as the mentioned version of the operating system was spotted in Google's website.
According to Android Authority, Android 5.1.1 OS update will roll out in a few weeks after the new Android OS version was leaked in the tech giant's official website. The Nexus 7 and 9 tablets are the first devices to receive the said update. The next version is Android 5.1.1, and it was recently found running on the Nexus 9 and Wi-fi Nexus 7 (2013) model on Google's Android Audio Latency information page. The Nexus 9 is running build number LMY47S and the Wi-fi Nexus 7 (2013) is shown running build number LMY47W. It is expected that the operating system will also land to the smartphone line soon.
This is not the first time that the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update was seen online, the new version was spotted in the Android SDK Manager. The Android SDK Manager is an important platform for the OS and it hints the imminent arrival of the new version of the operating system. This is even intensified by the flash images and over the air updates for Nexus handsets.
Christian Today reported that Google will roll out the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS update soon. The OS update was supposed to fix some of the stubborn bugs and issues left unfixed by Android 5.1. The new update will reportedly fix the annoying memory loss as well as the bug that eats up the storage space. However, there is no official confirmation from Google yet as to when it will release the update as well as what updates it will bring.
However, Google has not confirmed the official release date of the Android 5.1.1 OS.
