Currently joining Shelton as "The Voice" season 8 judges are Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera, who will also perform with Rascal Flatts at the 2015 ACM on April 19, Sunday.

Aguilera and the country music bandare  set to perform her "Nashville" song titled "Shotgun."

"We are putting a different spin on the song for the awards, but it's a quiet, beautiful song about true love that lasts a lifetime," Aguilera told USA Today of their upcoming performance of "Shotgun."

Moreover, the country music duo called The Swon Brothers, who were mentored by Shelton on "The Voice," is nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the 2015 ACM.

According to Shelton, he takes the mentorship on "The Voice" seriously and he still keeps in contact with the artists he has worked with even after the reality show.

On the other hand, Shelton joked that he needs to stop because he feels like he is "adopting half of these people" who have been on his team.

"We're all human," Shelton said. "And I don't know how you can be around people that you have a connection with and that you have fun being around, and how that just ends because a TV show ends."
