The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the latest Android phablet from Samsung and is one of the most powerful device currently available in the market. However, for performance demanding users, there are still ways to optimize the device in order to fully take advantage of its hardware and software specifications.

To fully optimize the Galaxy Note 4, the device has to be set into Developer Mode first, according to GottaBeMobile. This can be achieved opening the About device option and tapping the Build entry under the General tab.

Once the device is in Developer mode, the user can now make major tweaks. Here are six simple tips to fully optimize the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

  • Turning off background apps can contribute in enhancing performance. Background applications can be turned off by opening the Application Manager. Certain applications that are not in use can be turned off, aside from enhancing performance, this can help conserve battery life.
  • Transition Effect and Flipboard Briefing are basically just for eye-candy, for users who are concerned with performance issues, this options can be turned off. Additionally, lowering or turning off the Window animation scale can greatly enhance the device's performance.
  • For users who prefer to use Google's voice interaction than the Samsung S voice, the latter can be turned off to increase the device's performance and also conserve battery life.
  • Uninstalling apps that are not in use can also help conserve storage space. Additionally, this can also help speed the processing power of the device. Clearing Cached Data will not only free up storage space but can also help in increasing Internet browsing speed.
  • For storage space, users can use cloud storage instead of storing files directly into the device's internal or external storage medium. Applications like Dropbox can be used to conserve storage space.
  • Battery life can also be extended by turning off certain features like Location Services as well as lowering screen animations. Disabling email notification, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS features can also significantly increase battery life, according to Android Pit.
