As days pass, chances are slim that the alleged iOS 8.2 jailbreak will ever see the light of the day. However, the iOS iOS 8.3 and 8.4 jailbreak was spotted in a teaser video.

According to Latin Post, hacker Stefan Esser also known as i0n1c was able to develop untethered jailbreaks for the 8.3 and 8.4 versions of the iOS operating system. However, Esser has no plans on releasing the jailbreak for public use.

"Today I am delighted to share this video of a proof of concept iOS 8.4-beta 1 jailbreak that I was working on the last four days. ... The major vulnerability used in here was found right after the SyScan 2015 security conference when I was relaxing in Singapore from several weeks of training and conferences," Esser said.

Esser posted a teaser video showing off his work as he was able to jailbreak the recently released iOS 8.3 as well as the first beta version of the iOS 8.4 operating system. Esser calls his jailbreak a "proof of concept" and is merely for personal purposes. Thus, iOS users will not be able to enjoy the jailbreak and must wait for other developers to release their own version of the jailbreak, according to Scribbal.

Part of the reasons why Esser will not release the jailbreaks to the public is his dispute with Pangu in the past. Esser claimed that Pangu stole his work. With his dispute with the jailbreak team, Esser refused to work with the said team again.

Meanwhile, Chinese developer TaiG is reportedly still working on the iOS 8.2 jailbreak. However, reports said that the Chinese developer has not completed the iOS 8.2 jailbreak yet and he it has not announced a specific release date yet.

"The development and release of a jailbreak tool was restricted to several factors, however what TaiG Jailbreak Team wanted is to release the jailbreak of iOS 8.2 as soon as possible," the developer continued.

In the end, iOS users will have to sit and wait for a new iOS jailbreak to be released.
