Ray Romano, 57, and Patricia Heaton, 57, have spoken about the death of Sawyer Sweeten, 19, who played one of their twin sons in the sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond," which originally ran from Sept. 13, 1996 to May 16, 2005 on CBS.

In a statement issued to E! News, Raymond described Sweeten as "a wonderful and sweet kid to be around" and there was "just a great energy whenever he was there."

"Shocked and terribly saddened" by the news that Sweeten had committed suicide while visiting family in Texas, Romano said, "My heart breaks for him, his family and his friends during this very difficult time."

On the other hand, Heaton took to Twitter to pay tribute to her late TV son.

"Sawyer Sweeten was a funny and exceptionally bright young man. He is gone from us far too soon," Heaton wrote followed by another tweet saying, "The entire cast of #EverybodyLovesRaymond is in shock. Prayers for the Sweeten family."

According to the late actor's manager Dino May, there were no signs of Sweeten being suicidal. He told Us Weekly that there was a good kid and there were "teenage stuff" but "no depression" and "no signs or anything."

The late actor's real-life big sister Madilyn Sweeten and twin brother Michael Sweeten played his siblings in "Everybody Loves Raymond."

In her Facebook page, Madilyn encouraged everyone to "reach out to the ones you love" and "let them have no doubt of what they mean to you."

"Everybody Loves Raymond" also starred Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle, Monica Horan and Brad Garrett.
