The simple and addictive game "Solitaire" is going to make a grand comeback in Windows 10. Another Microsoft favorite, the Start Menu, would also be seen in the new version of the OS.

Even though "Solitaire" had a very loyal fan following, Microsoft officials took a very strange decision of not including it in Windows 8. Fans were aghast at the exclusion. However, things are now going to be set right with the re-entry of the popular game on the Microsoft dashboard, according to Engadget.

It will be a built-in game so there is no longer any need of downloading it separately from the Internet. Along with "Solitaire," the Windows staple Start Menu will also be back, which the loyal Windows fans are going to welcome with open arms, according to PC Mag.

Even though Microsoft candidly admitted that along with "Solitaire," other games such as Minesweeper and Hearts also have a loyal fan following, yet it failed to mention any update about their status. It is not known for sure if they are also going to make a comeback in Windows 10 or fans would have to separately download them before playing, just like they need to do in Windows 8.

It is "Solitaire's" 25 anniversary and it is only befitting that they be accorded a royal comeback in Windows 10. It made a very grand debut in Windows 3.0 and since then it's popularity has just soared.

Microsoft released a technical preview of Windows 10 with the new Calendar and Mail apps. The preview showcased many new features of the Taskbar, Start and the Virtual Desktop.
