There is a slim chance for Ben Affleck to be in "Mallrats 2" because he is playing Batman in the 2016 superhero film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," according to director Kevin Smith.
As part of the Wild West Comedy Festival, Smith recently appeared at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, Tenn. During the event, the "Mallrats 2" director and writer said he has not reached out to Affleck yet and he is waiting until they have everybody, Comic Book reported.
"There's two more people I want to collect, and that way I have everybody, and I can be like, 'Come, on dude, even Gil Hicks is back,'" Smith said.
According to Smith, they can do "Mallrats 2" without Affleck if they have to although the piece the "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor would play in "Mallrats 2" "would be quick."
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. is filming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" at Michigan Motion Picture Studios and on location in and around Detroit, Illinois, Africa and the South Pacific. Directed by Zack Snyder, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" features Affleck as Batman opposite Henry Cavill as Superman.
In 2012, Marvel's version of Justice League titled "Marvel's The Avengers" grossed $1.5 billion in the box office accross the globe. Its second film titled "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be released on May 1.
Joining Affleck and Cavill in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" are Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.
