The DC Cinematic Universe continues its expansion with its lead comic book films featuring the superheroes in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" along with the introduction of the villains in "Suicide Squad." A flashback scene has been recently integrated to "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," highlighting Leto's The Joker hitting Batman's ally Jason Todd/Robin to death, as per Latino Review.

The idea came from the arc in the comic book entitles "A Death in the Family," where a telephone poll chose Robin as Joker's victim. This is a possible sequence that leads to Joker ending up in prison at the start of "Suicide Squad."

After the actor disclosed Joker's new reincarnation last week, his presence in Toronto, the filming site of the movie, confirms that the Clown Prince of Gotham will be appearing in both "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad."

Leto's Joker is set to be one of key characters in "Suicide Squad," as per Cinema Blend. It is suggested by the previous talks about the Clown Prince as well as the pictures that have surfaced online.

Meanwhile, Affleck was also seen in Toronto, indicating that Bruce Wayne/Batman is also to appear in "Suicide Squad." Aside from the Dark Knight, his Batmobile has been seen in Toronto as well.

While both "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Suicide Squad" are gearing as two big and highly anticipated films of the DC cinematic Universe, it is possible that the characters share the big screen once "Justice League" hits the big screen.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere on Mar. 25, 2016 while "Suicide Squad" is set to hit the theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
