"Furious 8" release date has been made official as Vin Diesel confirmed that the next sequel will hit theaters on April 14, 2017. However, only Diesel is confirmed to be in the cast so far.

One of the interesting things that could happen in "Furious 8" is for Sung Kang's role Han to come back.

After Gisele played by Gal Gadot died in "Furious 6," Han went to Toyko and he was featured in the beginning of "Furious 7" dying at the hands of Ian Shaw played by Jason Statham. It must be noted that the same thing took place in the middle of "The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift."

It would be a big break for Kang in case he gets to come back in "Furious 8." The South Korean-American actor, who just turned 43 on April 8, has recently been cast in the mystery-thriller titled "Pali Road" from Crimson Forest Entertainment.

Also starring "Twilight" star Jackson Rathbone and "12 Golden Ducks" actress Michelle Chen, "Pali Road" is currently filming in Honolulu, according to Deadline.

Meanwhile, Gadot is set to play Wonder Woman in the highly anticipated film "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" directed by Zack Snyder.

Recently, Gadot joined "Gossip Girl" alum Blake Lively, "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" star Chris Evans and "Westworld" star Evan Rachel Wood as a Gucci fragrance ambassador, Senatus reported.

Also, Gadot will play the title role in the 2017 film "Wonder Woman." The 29-year-old Israeli actress will go on to play the same role in the first and second parts of "The Justice League" films in 2017 and in 2019.
