Prince William and Kate Middleton welcome a baby girl. Kate Middleton has given birth to her second child in London's St. Mary's Hospital on May 2, 2015. The official announcement for the arrival of the royal baby was made outside Buckingham Palace on an easel.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8:34 a.m." read the statement (via E Online). Earlier, the palace announced that Kate Middleton was in her early stages of labour. The palace also tweeted about the development.

She was taken to Lindo Wing of the hospital in a car. Dr. Guy Thorpe-Beeston and Dr. Alan Farthing were in charge of the arrival of Duchess of Cambridge's second baby. Moreover, midwives were also asked to be by Kate's side.

According to Us Weekly, at 12:30 p.m. a gold easel was kept in the forecourt. It had a printed notice signed by the medical staff of the hospital.

Details suggested that the easel with the framed notice will be displayed for 24 hours. Back in July 2013, the easel was used to announce the birth of Prince George. According to the bulletin, her Royal Highness and the baby girl are both doing well.

Kensington Royal's official Instagram account posted the photo of the bulletin announcing the birth of Kate Middleton and Prince William's second child.

Since 1970, the royal families have been using St. Mary's Hospital for royal births. Queen Elizabeth II, Zara and Peter Philips and Prince Harry were born at this medical facility.
