An in-character photo of "Game of Thrones" actress Gwendoline Christie has been revealed recently, as per Vanity Fair. In the picture taken by Anne Leibovitz, the actress is wearing a metallic suit and helmet with a long dark cape.

Christie plays the role of the First Order officer Captain Phasma in the upcoming seventh installment of "Star Wars." First Order is reported as the films new name of the evil Empire or the "force" coming from the wreckage, since the "Return of the Jedi."

Phasma is the leader of a group called Chrome Troopers, an elite squad that is set to protect Adam Driver's villain Kylo Ren.

While there is little information about Phasma's role in the film as well as the Chrome Troopers' part in the story at this point, they are the sort of villain to be taken seriously, according to Cinema Blend.

Aside from "Game of Thrones," Christie has also appeared in "The Zero Theorem," "Wizards vs. Aliens," and "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus." She is also set to appear in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2."

Set thirty years following the events in "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi," "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" showcases a brand new generation of heroes and villains, along with the comeback of some smugglers, Jedi, and princesses.

The film stars Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong, Miltos Yerolemou, Lupita Nyong'o, Max von Sydow, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hammil, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford.

"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is slated to premiere in theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
