Isaac plays pilot Poe Dameron and considers his character as the best pilot in that galaxy. He even compared his role with that of great pilot Han Solo played by none other than Harrison Ford, according to Metro.

When was asked what he can say about his role, he said that being a pilot in one of the Star Wars franchise is unforgettable. That is because he stars with big personalities who have starred on the early Star Wars movies.

In preparation for his role in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", he even did some research on World War II pilots and was even asked by Ford to fly with him.  Isaac mentioned in an IGN interview that the movie is a sci-fi grand adventure film as well as a war movie and his character Dameron is first and foremost, a soldier.

One factor that Isaac loves about the filming is its director J.J. Abrams and on how he operates.  Abrams bring joy and enthusiasm on the set and Isaac just went with the joyful flow.

Isaac thinks that there is ecstasy in war which he read about in the book "What It's Like to Go to War".  The pilot in the book talked about the feeling of high that takes you to a sacred and quiet space and that he uses that to give justice to his role.

Isaac was also asked on working with the droid, BB-8.  He said that its design is amazing and he loves to work with it and enjoys its expressions which are unique and different from R2-D2.
