It is believed that Jeremy Lin is bidding goodbye to Kobe Bryant and their team Los Angeles Lakers after his contract ends after the 2014-2015 NBA season.

With 11.2 points with 4.6 assist and 2.6 rebounds average, Lin had a good record in the 74 games he had played this season but he still failed to impress Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott, according to Day Herald.

It has yet to be confirmed whether Scott's criticisms against Lin has something to do with the latter's rumored decision not to renew his contract with the Los Angeles Lakers for the next NBA season.

In the summer of 2014, the Los Angeles Lakers bought Lin in a trade with the Houston Rockets and began the first 19 games for the team this season. But with the difference between Scott and Lin, the latter was replaced with Ronnie Price and spent the remaining season sitting on the bench.

Subsequently, Price was replaced for Jordan Clark in the middle of the season.

Next to Bryant, Lin was considered one of the top players to score.

However, retired NBA player Jamaal Wilkes feels like Bryant is already too old to lead the Los Angeles Lakers.

"He has very little help, and I'm sure he feels like it's all on him because it has been for the last 18, 19 years," Wilkes told Sporting News of Bryant. "And I'm sure he doesn't know what to expect from himself or what his body can give him now."

Still referring to Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers added, "But it's clear that he's near the end. He's in the last year of his contract but physically, he just can't carry the group more."
