In real life, Galecki and Cuoco-Sweeting had dated for two years, which was long before the latter got married to tennis player Ryan Sweeting, according to E! News.

Prior to the airing of "The Big Bang Theory" season 8 finale episode, showrunner Steve Molaro told Yahoo TV that there would be a few cliff-hangers and the episode would focus on "relationships and commitments in different ways" and some characters would make "some very large, life-changing decisions."

With "The Big Bang Theory" set through at least season 10, Molaro said there is always pressure to do their best to keep the comedy series good, funny and fresh, and they are all very thankful that they still have at least two years more to move forward and to further explore the characters.

"Part of the fun of this show is, we don't always know exactly where it's going," said Molaro, who said "The Big Bang Theory" characters have become "so realized" and they are "like people to us."

According to Molaro, "The Big Bang Theory" characters can surprise them as they were writing the series.

"I think as long as we're passionate and excited about it, we're just going to keep going along the way we've been doing it," Molaro pointed out.
