"The Following" Season 3 is the final season of the series. Kevin Bacon, who plays the lead protagonist Ryan Hardy, thanked fans via Twitter after news broke that the third season finale is also the series ender.

"Big love to all of our loyal fans. It's been an honor to work for you. Sweat,tears, and lots of Blood! Enjoy the final four [episodes]," Bacon tweeted to his half a million followers.
"The Following" Season 3 Episodes 12 and 13 are airing back-to-back on FOX this Monday, May 11. Diane Neal returns as Lisa Campbell, as Gbenga Akinnagbe's Tom figures out his next step after killing a fellow FBI agent.
"An increasingly reckless Ryan continues his search for Theo, as Mark and Daisy discover information that leads them closer to the FBI than ever and puts Mike in a dangerous situation. Then, a deadly deal is made, but things don't go as planned, and Ryan makes a decision for his future," reads the FOX release on "The Following" Season 3 Episodes 12 and 13.
Titled "The Edge" and "A Simple Trade" this week's new episodes move forward from the death of Joe Carroll (James Purefoy). The series also stars Shawn Ashmore as Mike Weston and Jessica Stroup as Max Hardy.
The good guys are still going after Theo (Michael Ealy), who is desperately trying to put everything connected to Ryan Hardy behind him. "The Following" Season 3 returns the following Monday with the penultimate episode.
