Chris Carmack has recently commented on what to expect from his gay country star role Will Lexington in "Nashville" Season 4 after the character came out as gay in the third season's finale episode.
While he tried to keep mum on the upcoming season, Carmack told Huffington Post that Will Lexington will have plenty to deal with "Nashville" Season 4 with the cliffhanger left by the third season's finale episode with Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten).
"Let's just say people might be chomping at the bit this summer," Carmack told the publication. "I wish we could just plow right on through and keep on going, but network television has its process."
In another interview with Entertainment Tonight, Carmack said he is happy for Will Lexington.
According to Carmack, it is the first step in Will Lexington's journey of personal fulfillment, and he is going to be able to live a much richer life after becoming accepting of himself following his coming out as gay with the courage to face whatever is going to come his way.
About Will Lexington's gender orientation and music genre, Carmack believes it is surprising that there is a lack of gay signers at country music.
Among Carmack's "Nashville" co-stars are Connie Britton, Clare Bowen, Hayden Panettiere, Eric Close, Charles Esten, Jonathan Jackson, Sam Palladio, Lennon Stella, Maisy Stella, David Alford, Ed Amatrudo, Oliver Hudson, Will Chase, Aubrey Peeples and Jourtney Hansen.
Aside from "Nashville," Carmack also provides the voice of Quon in the English version of the "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD" video game.
