"Pitch Perfect 2" became a major box office hit during its first opening weekend, but not everyone saw the second installment to the franchise in a brand new and positive light.
Some publications have noted that "Pitch Perfect 2" lost a little of its impact because the Barden Bellas became a little too familiar to the fans.
With this, audiences were already anticipating that the a cappella group from Barden University will perform a series of songs that will make an impact on everyone else, The Guardian reported.
Individually, so much has also changed when it came down to the characterization of the actors. Back in 2012, Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) was characterized as someone who did not have that much care in the world what other people thought of her.
However, this year, Fat Amy became a little bit too conscious about what everyone thinks and this has resulted to her jokes not becoming all-too funny anymore, according to The Concourse.
In addition, the film's director, Elizabeth Banks, reportedly did not have that much talent behind the camera. In "Pitch Perfect," the actress/comedian only served as the film's producer.
