Following its Korea launch last month, LG's leather-clad flagship smartphone G4 will go on sales in Hong Kong this week, with Turkey, Russia and Singapore to follow soon after. The company will eventually rollout the device in most of CIS, North America, South/Central America, Southeast Asia, Middle East/Africa and Europe.

“The LG G4 is our most ambitious smartphone yet because it is unlike any other flagship mobile phone on the market today,” LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company CEO and president Juno Cho said in a press release adding that the initial response for G4 has been positive.

The LG G3 successor features a 5.5-inch IPS Quantum display with QuadHD - 2560x1440 resolution, a 16MP rear camera (f/1.8 aperture lens) with Raw Capture and Laser Autofocus features, and an 8MP front-facing camera with features such as Soft Light, Gesture View and Gesture Shot for selfies.

The flagship smartphone packs a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor with X10 LTE clocked at 1.8GHz coupled with 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 418 GPU. Along with Android 5.1 Lollipop and the company’s UX 4.0 pre-installed, LG G4 features 32GB internal storage along with a microSD slot for expandable storage of up to 2TB.

The device boasts of a 3000mAH battery - up to 20 hours of talk time or up to 434 hours of standby time, which supports Quick Charge 2.0 (the adapter sold separately). With Google Productivity apps out of the box, LG G4 supports Chromecast and has Google Chrome as the default browser, according to Tech Crunch.

LG G4 comes in different material options – handcrafter full grain leather finishes – sky blue, yellow, beige, red, brown and black – metallic grey, shiny gold and ceramic white. The price is said to vary by different markets as well as carriers. LG will reveal further details during the rollout.
