LG recently released the successor to the LG G Watch R, the LG Watch Urbane. The new smartwatch from LG is the first to run on the latest Android Wear 5.1.1 operating software.

The LG G Watch R was the one to be released first and the LG Watch Urbane quickly followed by working on some features not covered by its predecessor. The LG Watch Urbane has the upgraded P-OLED display which was not offered in the LG G Watch R. The LG Watch Urbane also received some major upgrade in terms of battery life. According to Inferse, the LG Watch Urbane can last up to two days in just a single full charge.

With the latest update from Android Wear 5.1.1, the LG Watch Urbane will support Wi-Fi connectivity.

Pricing for the LG Watch Urbane starts at $349.99, which puts it as one of the most expensive Android Wear currently in the market, according to Slash Gear.

LG has already said that the LG Watch Urbane is an upgrade and not a replacement for the LG Watch R. The older of the two smartwatches has a 1.3-inch circular OLED screen with 320 x 320 resolution. It has a 1.2 GHz processor with 512 MB of internal memory and 4 GB storage capacity.

Despite sharing many hardware specification with the LG G Watch R, many experts lauded the LG Watch Urbane's design. It sports the analog look of a traditional watch with a range of sub-dial complexity. The smartwatch from LG doesn't have the customization option offered by Apple Watch but users can find alternative options for this through Android Wear's support of third-party apps and themes.
