"The Walking Dead" actor Tyler James Williams has expressed his interest in playing Miles Morales in a "Spider-Man" reboot. The only superhero acting experience the actor best known for his "Everybody Hates Chris" title role is providing the voice of Firestorm in the 2010 TV series "Batman: The Brave And The Bold."

"I kind of follow the Miles Morales character quite a bit and I'm open to the idea, I am," Williams said in a recent interview with Flicks and the City at MCM London Comic-Con.

Williams added that he is not starting campaigns or anything for it because he trusts Marvel. He said, "I've read for them before. So I trust what their decisions will be. But yeah, I'd love to do it. I would absolutely love to do it."

On the other hand, a live-action film featuring Miles Morales is not likely to be released any time soon as Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has revealed that the next "Spider-Man" film, set to hit theaters in July 2017, will feature Peter Parker as a teenager.

Before the 2017 "Spider-Man" film, it is rumored that Marvel will introduce the new Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War," which will be released on May 6, 2016, according to Variety.

In other news, James' "The Walking Dead" co-actor Michael Rooker is set to reunite with James Gunn on a horror movie titled "The Belko Experiment," which is being helmed by Greg McLean, SBS has learned.

Meanwhile, "The Walking Dead" season 6 is set to premiere in October with James playing Noah.
