Google released Android Lollipop 5.1.1 for its Nexus Player last week and it will be released for Nexus 4, Nexus 5 smartphones, along with the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets. This update will fix bugs and make the smartphone system more stable.
The Android Lollipop 5.1 update was released to all Nexus devices, except for Nexus 9. However, many users reported issues like camera crashes, memory leaks and repeated hanging of the device. Thus, all of the bugs and issues that were left unpatched will be resolved through the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 upgrade, according to NDTV Gadgets.
The new upgrade will also bring about a remote pass through feature for Chrome Cast, along with fixing various security issues, according to Android Geeks.
The Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update will be sent out on an over-the-air basis, in which all the devices will get the update in a queue formation instead of getting it simultaneously. Google will decide the priority devices. The devices which are currently facing the maximum issues will get the update first and so on so forth.
It can take weeks for this Android update to reach all the devices, but it will reach every one for sure. For further information, the status can be checked manually on Settings > About device > System updates > Check for update. However, users can also download the update through Google's repository.
