Free-agency season is just around the corner and when the clock strikes at 12 A.M on July 1, playmaking geniuses like Goran Dragic, Rajon Rondo and budding star Reggie Jackson are expected to get most of the offers. However, there are also the underrated ones capable of meeting or even exceeding team's expectation, and can be acquired lesser the amount of money they can offer for free-agency big wigs.

Patrick Beverley (10.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg & 1.1 spg during 2014-15 Season) - One of the best defensive point guards in the league with the ability to stifle opposing guards. He has a high motor but lacks the skills-set to be a consistent contributor on the offensive end.

Potential Suitors: Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Pelicans

Maurice Williams (14.2 ppg, 6.2 apg)  - Seasoned playmaker who has knack at scoring. At 32, Williams dropped a career-high 52 points on 19-of-33 shooting with the Minnesota Timberwolves last January 13. The vet is perfect for teams looking for point guard depth and bench scoring.

Potential Suitors: Hornets, Rockets, Mavericks and Lakers

Jeremy Lin (11.2 ppg, 4.6 apg) - the former Harvard star had a subpar output last season with the Lakers, although a strong second half surge intrigues others teams. He's still struggling to play in a more disciplined half-court offense, but excellent in fast-paced, free-flowing offense. Lin is also a potent pick-and-roll finisher and a relentless attacker at the rim.

Potential Suitors: Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets, Golden States Warriors

Aaron Brooks (11.6 ppg, 3.2 apg) - Excellent scorer despite his small frame. Brooks has the ability to score in bunches everytime he's on the floor. Like what he was doing for the Bulls last season, he could be an excellent backup point guard for a team looking for some offensive juice off the bench.

Potential Suitors: Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns

Beno Udrih (7.7 ppg, 2.8 apg) - He's solid point guard with tons of experience around his belt. He was an important part of the Memphis Grizzlies rotation and played extremely well as Mike Conley's backup/ replacement. Suitable backup playmaker for major title contender.

Potential Suitor: Rockets, Grizzlies, San Antonio Spurs, Mavericks.
