"Infinity" singer Mariah Carey has recently slammed Fox reality show "American Idol," calling it fake and. Nick Cannon's estranged wife even alluded that her controversial feud with Nicki Minaj while on the show was manufactured.

In an interview with the show "Kyle And Jackie O" on the Australian radio station KIIS 1065 on May 28, Thursday, Carey said she had no intention of returning to "American Idol" for its final season in 2016.

"Absolutely not! That was the worst experience of my life," Carey said referring to her stint as an "American Idol" judge in 2013 with Minaj, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban and even implied that the altercation she had with Rae Sremmurd's "Throw Sum Mo" collaborator was fake.

"I'm not going to get into what it was," Carey said. "Let's just say, I don't think they had any interest in us having a good experience through that show. Pitting two females against each other wasn't cool."

Carey went on to say that "American Idol" should have been about the contestants and not about "some non-existent feud that turned into even more ridiculousness."

Not only did Carey imply that her controversial feud with Minaj was fake. She also said that as an "American Idol" judge, she had to make up things to say about people as half the time the performances are good, and she just had to say, "It was good!"

In 2013, Carey also slammed "American Idol" in an interview with Angie Martinez of Hot 97 where she described her experience as a judge in the show as hellish.
