Jerrika Hinton is psyched for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12, during which her character is going to embrace being a mentor to interns. She finds herself frustrated with the new interns' carelessness in the finale, but Bailey tells her off for her lack of patience. Is Bailey training her to be the new Grey Sloan Nazi?

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 1 introduced Chandra Wilson's Miranda Bailey as "The Nazi." She has softened up a lot through the years, but she's not slowing down. In admonishing Jerrika Hinton's Stephanie Edwards, Bailey says the interns are her "ducklings," and she needs to raise them. This enlightens Stephanie, who becomes more accommodating to the show's new interns.

Bailey and Edwards have a long history that goes back to the time when Bailey violated the orders of her patient's parents. Newbie Edwards stood up for her at the risk of losing her internship. Bailey told her she's got her back from then on.

"I think Stephanie considers vulnerability more as a weakness than a strength and it's nice to track those differences," Hinton told Vibe, discussing her difference from her character. Asked about a possible love angle with one of the interns, Hinton said, "It's a gift when [fans] can trust you with a journey."

Actors Giacomo Gianniotti ("Reign") and Joe Adler ("The Mentalist") are among Stephanie Edwards' ducklings. They joined late into "Grey's Anatomy" Season 11, and they are expected to be in Season 12.

In a joke she posted on her Twitter account, Hinton said: "Drown the ducklings," all caps. She then entered the hashtags #kidding and #keeptheducklings.

While "Grey's Anatomy" is on hiatus, Hinton will be overseeing the production of an independent film as an executive producer. The film is about a "young girl who is sent to live with her estranged family after her father passes away."

In a "Grey's Anatomy" wishlist on Entertainment Focus, more significant developments are wished for Jerrika Hinton's Stephanie Edwards. It shows that Edwards is making her mark at Grey Sloan Memorial, and she is quite possibly unstoppable.
