As indicated in the Time And Date countdown, there are only almost 15 weeks left before "South Park" season 19 episode 1 airs on Comedy Central. The television network seems to be following a pattern when it comes to the adult animated sitcom's release date in the past few years.

"South Park" season 17 premiered on Sept. 25, 2013 with an episode titled "Let Go, Let Gov" while "South Park: season 18 premiered on Sept. 24, 2014 with an episode titled "Go Fund Yourself."

Both "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are mum about the upcoming 19th season of the series while "The Book Of Mormon," the musical they co-wrote with "Let It Go" songwriter Robert Lopez, is currently being shown in various theaters around the United States.

Aside from Comedy Central's "South Park" season 19, Fox's "Empire" season 2 will also premiere on Sept. 23. It appears that Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, Kenny McCormick and the Lyon family will all return on the same day.

In "Empire" season 2, Taraji P. Henson and "Magic Mike XXL" actor Adam Rodriguez are set to reunite, Variety has learned. It has been almost six years since the two co-starred in Tyler Perry's "I Can Do Bad All By Myself."

Rodriguez will play Laz Delgado, a concert promoter who will become a love interest of Cooky Lyon played by Henson.

Among the confirmed guest stars of "Empire" season 2 are Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Ne-Yo, Chris Rock and Zac Efron.
