"Friends With Benefit" co-stars, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, can now breathe a sigh of relief as the former's stalker, who was missing from a mental health facility, has now been recaptured. The man named Stuart Lynn Dunn had been missing since May 30, Saturday.
Before he was recaptured, Dunn escaped from Southern California mental health facility, where he was sentenced for stalking the actress. According to a recent update, the Los Angeles County sheriff's major crime division arrested Dunn during the wee hours of June 2, Tuesday morning.
Police found the 30-year-old in an alley in Santa Monica although authorities earlier declared that they are focusing their search on transient populations, TMZ reported.
Probation Department Deputy Chief Reaver Bingham disclosed earlier that Dunn escaped from Olive Vista Behavioral Health Center in Pomona by climbing through a bathroom window and scaling a barbed-wire fence.
Dunn's absence was reported to authorities when he went in for a shower and did not come out. The 31-year-old "Black Swan" star, who is living with Kutcher and their eight-month-old daughter, was also informed about the man's escape.
When asked whether the actress and her family have been given police protection or not, Bingham refused to divulge details saying he could not discuss it and was not aware the private measures she has taken on her behalf, Boston Herald reported.
Dunn was first arrested in Feburary 2012 from her vacant flat, where he was dwelling for past two weeks. Few months later, he was again taken into custody as he violated the restraining order and showed up at the parking of the actress' gym while she hid inside the car.
The man pleaded no contest to stalking the actress during a hearing in January 2013 and subsequently was placed in the mental health facility. Authorities treating Dunn reportedly deemed him as "dangerous" with a strong "fixation on the original victim."
