"Fifty Shades" trilogy author E.L. James will release her latest novel entitled "Grey" on June 18. Fans are hoping that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson will reprise their roles as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, if a fourth installment will be confirmed for the big screen.

James' upcoming novel will serve not as a continuation of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, but as a different story that will be told from the point of view of Christian.

Following the author's confirmation, fans are anticipating that a "Grey" movie will also be released. Although this is merely a speculation as of late, there have already been reports that Dornan and Johnson will no longer make it to the franchise by then.

According to E! News, Dornan and Johnson's involvement in the upcoming "Grey" movie is quite impossible because both actors are only tied to the franchise until after the release of "Fifty Shades Freed."

Just recently, there have been reports that Dornan and Johnson had issues with their contracts especially after the success of "Fifty Shades of Grey."

According to Venture Capital Post, there were rumors that both Dornan and Johnson wanted a massive increase in their pay because they saw how fans embraced the first installment to the franchise.

Still, even though their contracts have only been signed until after the release of "Fifty Shades Freed," creating a different contract that would involve them in "Grey" should not be that hard.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated for release in February 2017. "Fifty Shades Freed" will be released in February 2018.
