Apple recently inked a deal with AU Optronics with further details suggesting production of new 4-inch iPhones soon. Consequently, the new phones will reportedly be dubbed the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7c.
With the second half of the year starting and Apple gearing up for some major announcements, attention over its upcoming products increases by the day. Further, more details about the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus suggest that the company is aiming for something bigger.
Chinese publication Economic Daily News recently revealed more information on Apple's upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7c to be released in 2016. This supports forecasts from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo about a 4-inch to be released next year equipped with the Apple Pay.
The estimates blast reports indicating that the Apple could be working on a third and entry-point device possibly called the iPhone 6c. Apple's decision on releasing a 4-inch phone may be based on the still considerable number of users sticking to their smaller handsets rather than switching to the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus versions.
Further, a new tip from a European mobile operator suggested that Apple could start pre-orders of the new iPhone 6s series sometime around Sept. 18. Retail availability will be on Sept. 25 according to NDTV.
Previously, Germany's Deutsche Telekom tipped the release of the iPhone 6 series on Sept. 19, 2014, which proved to be accurate. This puts weight on the estimate but as with other leaks and predictions, people should take everything with a grain of salt.
Apple has not release the final details of its upcoming iPhone series yet although the September launch seems highly likely as the company often releases its iPhone line around such time. Other reported features of highly anticipated iPhone 6s series include 2GM RAM, 12MP camera, Apple A9 processor and Force Touch display.
