"Guardians of the Galaxy" star recently talked about her husband, Marco Perego, who she said suggested to take her last name instead of his.
In an interview with InStyle Magazine, the doting mom of twins Cy Ardio and Bowie Ezio, revealed that it was actually her husband's idea to carry her last name because he looked up to her so much.
At first, the idea seemed absurd to Saldana who was most concerned about what other people would say. Additionally, the actress revealed that she talked Perego out of his decision because she feared that it would just emasculate him later on.
However, Perego was insistent and he said that he does not really care about what other people would think.
Meanwhile, the "Avatar" star also revealed how her life has changed ever since she married Perego and ever since they were blessed with their twin boys in November, according to Us Weekly.
According to her, everything in their relationship just fell into place. Not to mention, after having their twins, she immediately understood what the saying, "I was meant for you and you were meant for me" really meant.
Other than their love for each other, Saldana said that Perego also brings out the best in her and he is very patient when it comes to dealing with the actress. At one point, she ate too much and felt bad for it, but Perego said that it was okay and she could just start again with her routine tomorrow.
