Moroccan Prime Minister Abedlilah Benkirane recently launched an investigation into "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez's controversial a**-shaking concert that took place on May 29 and that was aired on local television.
According to TMZ, Benkirane believes that Lopez's concert does not have any place on local television because it showed malicious scenes that may have devalued the country's religious beliefs and practices.
Benkirane added that sexually explicit broadcast was not allowed in Morocco because it violates the country's audiovisual law. With this, he wrote a letter to the president of Morocco's High Authority of Audiovisual Communication to take legal measures against those who are responsible for the recent airing, BBC reported.
Additionally, there were also reports that the prime minister will be suing Lopez for allegedly disrupting the peace and order in the country. To add to this, Benkirane wants to sure the "Back It Up" singer for tarnishing women's honor and respect.
As of late, Lopez has not yet commented regarding the issue, but this is not the first time that she performed in Morocco. However, this is the first time that the singer caused trouble in her live show and television broadcast.
In other news, Lopez recently cut her hair short ahead of her residency in Las Vegas. Throughout the past couple of years, it is only now that fans are seeing her with short hair. Just recently, she was photographed donning her new look while on the set of her new series, "Shades of Blue" in New York City.
