"Pretty Little Liars" is celebrating its fifth anniversary on June 8, Monday, and with this, fans need to look back on the very first episode that aired five years ago.
At first glance, the pilot episode of hit series seemed very simple. However, it was recently revealed that as early as that first episode, show creator Marlene King already planned how the events would unfold in the upcoming seasons.

The biggest question that fans want to know is who exactly is Charles DiLaurentis? Although the character's identity was only revealed during the final episode of season 5, fans actually had a glimpse of the character way back in the pilot episode.
Additionally, fans are also wondering what is the story behind Wren? In the pilot episode, Wren was already engaged to Spencer's sister Melissa but he still made a move on the then high school student. Towards the upcoming seasons, the character was also in and out of the series.
Until now, fans are also unaware as to who exactly was responsible for killing Bethany Young. The only thing fans know is that Melissa buried the body, but who actually killed her?
